 We are not sure where people hear this, believe us cockroaches are anything but clean. Cockroaches carry a variety of diseases, including dysentery, salmonella, gastroenteritis and typhoid. Cockroaches are also transporters of germs and diseases. Cockroaches are extremely hardy, which makes it incredibly tricky to permanently eradicate them without a knowledgeable technician.

Many of them look very scary, and while a few may bite if trapped, most are harmless to humans and not responsible for what most people think are spider bites.  Small ants infesting a structure in the Pacific NW are usually either Odorous House Ants or Pavement Ants. The treatment methods between the two can vary greatly. Proper identification is important before treatment. If Odorous House Ants are sprayed with repellent insecticides, it can make the problem worse. In response to the insecticide, they may “bud” their nest and fracture away, sending queens and workers in multiple directions throughout the structure. This can be a huge issue in multi dwelling housing structures like apartments and condominiums 

 No is the short answer. Bed bugs do not care about a person's economic standing or what type of buildings they decide to take up residency in. Bed bugs should not necessarily be associated with filth or a sanitation problem.  Bed bugs can be very puzzling and are an elusive, transient pest often found in other areas besides the bed. They are hardy insects that can live for a year or more without eating and can withstand a wide range of temperatures from near freezing to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Bed bugs can be controlled with vigilance, constant inspection, proper treatments by a professional and preventive measure.
